Construction Community Provides Support, Shelter for Hospice Patients
PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, the PeaceHealth Southwest Foundation, and Hospice Southwest wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to members of the local construction community for donating their services to build a beautiful portico for the Ray Hickey Hospice House. The donation of labor and materials is estimated to be valued at approximately $65,000.
The awning was designed to match the architecture of the Ray Hickey Hospice House. More importantly, it was built to provide shelter from the elements for hospice patients as they arrive to spend their last hours or days of life, as well as for those who are leaving the hospice house after they have passed on.
PeaceHealth Southwest wishes to thank the following businesses and individuals for their contributions to this project:
Andersen Construction Company
Cherry City Electric
Patriot Fire Protection
PSI Special Inspections
Vancouver Recycling Inc.
We Given Contracts
At an open house event last month, representatives from several companies came together for an official dedication and blessing of this incredibly generous gift.
