Vancouver Neurologists is founded as the first board-certified neurologists practice.

Vancouver Sleep Disorders Center is founded.

| 1995 |
Family Medicine of SW clinic opened on the Mill Plain campus.
The first residency class begins to train new doctors for the community.

FPG implements one of the area's first electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

| 2002 |
FPG implements Open Access Scheduling, which gives patients more choices for appointments with their provider.

Columbia Surgical Specialists opened.

First bariatric surgery at Southwest. Dr. Cagle and Dr. Dally had preformed numerous bariatric surgeries, but this was the first at PHMG.

Pacific Surgical Specialists opens.

| 2006 |
PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center hires renowned vascular and thoracic surgeons. The group grows and eventually becomes Southwest Medical Group Vascular and Thoracic Surgery, located on the Mill Plain Campus in the Physicians Pavilion.
Columbia Vein Center opens.
First RFA (Radiofrequency Ablation) was performed by the SMG Surgical Specialists.

Family Physicians Group, with new and existing doctors, comes together to create Southwest Medical Group.
Columbia Surgical Specialists and Pacific Surgical Specialists join SMG to create Southwest Medical Group Surgical Specialists.
Family Medicine of SW residency clinic moved to Westside Vancouver in the Southwest Memorial Health Center building.

Neonatology Associates becomes a part of SMG.
Dr. Allen Gabriel joins Southwest Medical Group to create Southwest Medical Group Plastic Surgery.

Southwest Medical Group Thoracic and Vascular Surgery is created.
Southwest Medical Group Trauma Associates is created.
Southwest Medical Group opens a family practice clinic in Battle Ground.
Five of the doctors from the Family Medicine residency program join the SMG team.
Southwest Medical Group OB/GYN Associates is created. They provide 24/7 coverage to Southwest's Family Birth Center.
Vancouver Neurologists joins creating Southwest Medical Group Neurology Associates.
Vancouver Sleep Disorders Center joins creating Southwest Medical Group Sleep Center.
Existing pulmonary physicians in the community join together to create Southwest Medical Group Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates.

First gastric sleeve surgery was completed by SMG Surgical Specialists.
Southwest Medical Group Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates provide 24/7 Intensivist coverage at the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in the award-winning Firstenburg Tower.
Southwest Medical Group Oncology Associates is created.
